Overview

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a full-time Sleep Medicine Physician Assistant to join their outpatient office in Newnan, Georgia. The role focuses on providing care to sleep medicine patients, while also managing occasional pulmonary patients, functioning independently with support from MDs for complex cases.

Key responsibilities

  • Function as an independent provider in an outpatient setting
  • Take patient histories and conduct physical examinations
  • Write progress notes and develop treatment plans
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures
  • Explain diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients
  • Review PAP usage and troubleshoot barriers to compliance

Required skills

  • Experience in healthcare and medical practices
  • Clinical assessment and diagnosis skills
  • Treatment planning in pulmonary and sleep medicine
  • Familiarity with laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures
  • Current Physician Assistant license in Georgia
