Overview

The Skilled Trade - Industrial Truck Mechanic position at Ford Motor Company involves repairing and maintaining powered industrial vehicles at the Kansas City Assembly facility. Candidates must possess a strong mechanical background, particularly in electrical diagnosis, and be able to work effectively in a team environment while adhering to safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all powered industrial vehicles in the plant, including Yale forklifts and Cushman carriers
  • Repair and maintain Cummings Diesel pumps
  • Maintain PMHV batteries and battery chargers
  • Repair and maintain fire pumps within the plant
  • Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, bending, and manipulating tools
  • Understand and follow trade-related instructions and safety rules

Required skills

  • Industrial maintenance experience

  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment
