Overview

As the Site Quality Manager at Jabil Circuit, Inc., you'll play a crucial leadership role in launching a new manufacturing facility in Prince George, VA, focused on producing large and complex equipment. Your responsibilities will include building the quality team, developing processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement to deliver exceptional quality performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support new factory startup activities by building quality operations and processes
  • Recruit, interview, and hire quality engineers and personnel
  • Coach team members on best practices for interviewing and hiring
  • Develop and implement quality training curricula and succession planning strategies
  • Establish and track performance metrics for quality, cost, and delivery goals
  • Facilitate team communication and encourage engagement and collaboration
  • Align quality strategy with business and customer needs
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and metrics tracking
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality practices

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in manufacturing quality within complex equipment or startup environments
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Deep knowledge of quality systems and process improvement
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance standards (ISO9000, ISO14000, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, startup environments
