Overview

The Site Manager in Training (MIT) at Team Quality Services is a structured management development role designed to train individuals for the position of Site Manager. The program, which typically lasts 12 months, starts with field-based training as a Field Quality Associate and involves extensive travel across TQS service locations to progressively learn Site Manager responsibilities under the mentorship of a Regional Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Interview, onboard, discipline, mentor, and manage workload for team members.
  • Monitor performance and develop improvement plans for underperforming teams.
  • Develop growth strategies to increase the Company's presence at assigned locations.
  • Execute the Company's operating system and enforce all policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier parts for quality compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality performance objectives.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis.
  • Document and update all relevant data in software systems.
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and schedules.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field OR skilled trades certification with relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or automotive quality, with a minimum of 3-5 years in relevant roles.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency with technology, including smartphones, tablets, and web-based software.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse groups.
