Overview

The Site Administrator (SA) at Helen Porter Skilled Nursing Facility is responsible for ensuring high-quality clinical care while complying with operational policies and regulations. The SA will lead efforts to enhance post-acute and long-term care services, focusing on strategic priorities for the UVM Health community.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a high-quality, homelike environment for residents.
  • Ensure operations comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for post-acute and long-term care services.
  • Foster collaboration among staff and stakeholders.
  • Represent the center effectively and communicate its vision and needs.
  • Manage policies, contracts, and initiatives aligned with UVM Health leadership goals.
  • Engage stakeholders to facilitate necessary organizational changes.
  • Invest in staff professional development and training.

Required skills

  • Vermont and/or New York Nursing Home Administrator License
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field; Master's preferred
  • Minimum five years of management experience in relevant settings
  • Leadership within post-acute and long-term care services
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and trends in long-term care
