Overview

The H&K Group is seeking a Shop Leader Mechanic for its Harrisburg Division in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves guiding mechanics in the repair and servicing of company-owned equipment, ensuring adherence to safety policies and effective team management.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, services, inspections, and DVIR
  • Assign tasks to mechanics and direct repair work
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding unscheduled repairs
  • Maintain requisitions and supply of spare parts
  • Enforce company policies and maintain a clean, safe shop
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA and OSHA regulations
  • Provide dependable, cost-effective repairs

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One-year certificate in diesel mechanics or related field OR 2 years of related experience
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year
  • Clean driving record
  • State Inspection License
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE
