Overview

The Shipping & Receiving Laborer role at Dimar Manufacturing involves verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and delivering finished products to customers. The position requires a DOT Physical and reliable transportation, with compensation based on experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare items for shipment, including addressing and stamping merchandise
  • Transport and deliver finished products to customers
  • Perform daily inspections of the truck
  • Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping
  • Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move materials
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, recording any shortages
  • Maintain certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
  • Follow safety procedures during loading and unloading
  • Report defective materials to the department supervisor

Required skills

  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Clean, valid driver's license
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic English reading and writing skills
  • Knowledge of driving regulations and local roads
