Job Description

Overview

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Northeast Aero Compressor Corp plays a crucial role in the Operations team, managing the receipt, inspection, and dispatch of aircraft components within a FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This position requires a cross-functional approach to ensure the smooth operation of both shipping and receiving processes while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect all incoming repair orders and parts
  • Accurately enter all inbound order information into company systems
  • Document and segregate non-conforming inbound orders
  • Carefully pack outgoing shipments using appropriate materials
  • Verify outgoing shipments are accompanied by complete and accurate documentation
  • Process shipments using various carrier software and arrange pickups
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Run company errands for maintenance and supplies
  • Follow all FAA, DOT, and IATA Dangerous Goods regulations

Required skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with shipping software and carrier portals (FedEx, UPS, DHL)
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
  • Forklift Certification preferred
