Overview

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a Shipping Clerk for their facility in Mayville, Wisconsin. The role involves maintaining and verifying records of outbound shipments, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring effective customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Audit orders and shipping quantities against picking documents
  • Maintain data and records for shipping and receiving activities in SAP system
  • Enter shipping data for domestic and international shipments into ERP and freight carrier systems
  • Assist with special projects as directed by supervisors
  • Answer and route telephone calls politely and efficiently
  • Evaluate shipping needs and provide necessary information
  • Document tracer inquiries via email and fax as requested
  • Notify consignees of shipment arrivals and coordinate details with relevant parties
  • Prepare and package merchandise for shipment
  • Confirm physical shipments and facilitate package tracking
  • Coordinate pick-up of goods with carriers and freight forwarders
  • Identify and correct errors on packing lists and invoices
  • Prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for shipping documents
