Description: Crane Engineering is a family-oriented Midwest based company; with locations in Wisconsin and Minnesota. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Shipping and Receiving Lead. The Shipping and Receiving Lead oversees the daily operations of the Shipping and Receiving department, ensuring all processes are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with Crane Engineering's quality standards. This role builds upon the responsibilities of the Senior Shipping and Receiving Coordinator by providing leadership, technical expertise, training, and daily supervision to the shipping and receiving team while fostering a safe, organized, and high-performing work environment.What You'll DoLead the shipping and receiving team, demonstrating and promoting Crane's core values (Act with Integrity and Respect, Foster Teamwork, Focus on the Customer, strive for Excellence and Innovation, Project Passion and Energy and Have Fun).Supervise the team and serve customers.Promote positive work environment and team atmosphere.Works with Service Manager to develop and promote departmental policies and procedures.Oversee performance of the team. Communicates with team members on regular basis.Monitor tasks of all team members to ensure shipping and receiving tasks are performed accurately and efficiently. Ensures team members follow proper safety procedures and practices.Actively promote and implement improvements for the warehouse operation.Work closely with Customer Service Team and Customer Service Manager to ensure all orders are processed, and project material staged in an efficient and accurate manner.Work closely with Service Manager on disciplinary action, process of hiring, and preparing and delivering performance evaluations of designated team.May perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent.Proven expertise with warehouse operations.Proven leadership abilities.Proven understanding of Crane Engineering's internal processes and business tools.A positive, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements.Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays. Participates in the after-hours on-call emergency service program per Crane requirements.Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Working ConditionsWork is generally performed in our warehouse facility. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and the noise level is usually moderate.
