Job Description

Overview

The Shipper/Receiver at Wajax Limited is responsible for ensuring the safe flow of industrial goods within the branch or warehouse. Duties include receiving, processing, and shipping goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and performing warehouse organization tasks. The role requires forklift operation and involves maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and unpack goods into inventory, verifying contents against documents
  • Input received goods into the computer tracking system accurately
  • Prepare packages for shipment in accordance with packing slip information
  • Ensure timely shipping of goods in line with best practices and customer requirements
  • Maintain Bills of Lading and arrange carriers for delivery
  • Stock shelves with received shipments using appropriate sorting/organization systems
  • File packing slips and print service/production documents as needed
  • Complete daily forklift log and perform housekeeping activities
  • Operate forklift safely and perform local pickup and delivery tasks as required

Required skills

  • High School education
  • Valid Forklift license/certification
  • Valid driver's license and insurable status
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
