Overview

The Service Technician (On Road) at Curry Supply Company is responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and equipment, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. This role involves both on-site and in-house repairs, using service manuals and troubleshooting techniques to provide effective solutions to customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair on-road heavy trucks and equipment
  • Perform warranty and mechanical repairs
  • Write orders for parts needed to complete repairs
  • Evaluate parts for reusability and determine cause of failure
  • Complete hydraulic and electrical diagnostic repairs
  • Diagnose technical problems and determine proper corrective actions
  • Manage customer feedback and address complaints
  • Document accurate service reports
  • Safely operate and maintain a Curry Supply mechanics truck
  • Travel for overnight trips as necessary

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient mechanical repair skills in diesel and automotive systems
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment and trouble-shooting
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum two years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks
  • Experience in auto repair or related fields preferred
