Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Safety-minded, Customer-focused Service Technician in Oxnard, California. This role involves installing and repairing propane tanks for residential and commercial customers, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and high customer service standards. Successful candidates will have a valid CDL and will operate propane service vehicles daily.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for clients
  • Conduct delivery of bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and AmeriGas safety policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
