Overview

AmeriGas is looking for a Service Technician in Fairbanks, Alaska to join their team. This role is essential in installing and repairing propane tanks while ensuring safety and exceptional customer service. As the largest propane distributor in the U.S., AmeriGas is committed to providing professional service to a wide range of customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations along with AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
