Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician in Tampa, Florida, to join their team of safety-minded and customer-focused professionals. The role involves installing and repairing propane tanks while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes, regulations, and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts as needed

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Previous experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Maintenance, or Mechanical fields preferred
