Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician with a valid CDL to join their team in Fort Bragg, California. This role is essential for installing and repairing propane tanks, ensuring safety and excellent customer service in both commercial and residential settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks
  • Install new propane tanks and systems
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to federal and state codes and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Completion of DOT physical, drug test, and background check
