Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a safety-minded, customer-focused Service Technician for their Fort Myers location. This role involves installing and repairing propane tanks while ensuring adherence to safety standards and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Perform Delivery Representative functions as needed, such as delivering bulk or canister propane
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies
  • Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Completion of DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Previous experience in HVAC, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical roles preferred
