Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at AmeriGas, you will be an essential part of a leading propane company, responsible for installing and repairing propane tanks while providing excellent customer service. This role requires safety compliance and the operation of a service vehicle, ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Perform Delivery Representative functions as needed, including delivering bulk or canister propane
  • Adhere to federal and state codes and regulations as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work flexible shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours depending on needs

Required skills

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
