Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician with a CDL to join their team in Albertville, Alabama. This position is crucial for safely installing, repairing, and delivering propane systems while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Perform Delivery Representative functions as needed, delivering bulk or canister propane
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts based on fluctuating needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Customer service skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance
