Job Description

Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician in Orlando, Florida, who will be responsible for installing and repairing propane tanks while ensuring safety and high-quality customer service. This role is critical for maintaining AmeriGas's reputation as the largest propane distributor in the U.S.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle on designated routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for both commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for customers
  • Occasionally perform delivery functions as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes, and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on business needs

Required skills

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical and drug test
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
