Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician in Harned, Kentucky, to join their team. The role involves installing and repairing propane tanks while ensuring safety and high customer service standards. Candidates should be safety-minded and ready for customer-focused service in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Required skills

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
