Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at AmeriGas, you will be responsible for installing and repairing propane tanks while prioritizing safety and customer service. This role requires operating a service vehicle and may involve performing delivery functions as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle
  • Repair existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Perform Delivery Representative functions, including delivering bulk or canister propane
  • Adhere to all safety codes and regulations
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts as necessary

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
