Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician with a valid CDL to join their team in Chester, New Jersey. The role involves installing and repairing propane tanks for residential and commercial customers while adhering to safety protocols and providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle and adhere to service routes
  • Repair existing propane tanks for customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for both commercial and residential customers
  • Perform Delivery Representative functions as needed, including propane delivery
  • Follow all federal and state safety codes and regulations
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work various shifts depending on demand, ranging from 8 to 12 hours

Required skills

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Completion of DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 70lbs
