Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician with a valid CDL to join their team in Chester, New Jersey. This role involves installing and repairing propane tanks while ensuring safety and excellent customer service for both residential and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along provided routes
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for customers
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks
  • Fulfill Delivery Representative functions as needed
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
  • Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work varying shifts from 8 to 12 hours

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Completion of DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
