Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a customer-focused Service Technician in Culpeper, Virginia. This role involves installing and repairing propane tanks while ensuring safety and high standards of customer service. Technicians will operate propane service vehicles and may also function as Delivery Representatives as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom.
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for both commercial and residential customers.
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers.
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed.
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts based on business needs.

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
  • Acceptable driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
