Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at Red Dirt Septic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing both aerobic and conventional septic systems for residential and commercial customers. This role offers the opportunity to work locally, with training provided to support your career growth in a family-oriented company.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct bi-annual maintenance on aerobic systems, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with aerobic and conventional septic systems.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in the company vehicle.
  • Drive to various residential and commercial sites using the company vehicle.
  • Access wastewater tanks and perform necessary tasks, which may include hand digging.
  • Log detailed and accurate notes on work orders.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or septic system certification is a plus.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing septic systems.
  • Ability to read and use a voltmeter for electrical diagnostics.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding tasks such as lifting and outdoor work.
