Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at BH, you will play a crucial role in overseeing physical assets and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing problems, making general repairs, and assisting with preventive maintenance and apartment make-readies while maintaining a strong commitment to service needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Use industry-specific technology to complete repairs and ensure units are move-in ready
  • Complete maintenance requests and conduct upkeep of exterior grounds and common areas
  • Identify and report hazardous community conditions
  • Follow and document preventive maintenance programs according to company guidelines
  • Maintain and secure property-issued tools
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the maintenance team
  • Respond to resident requests according to company standards
  • Comply with OSHA and safety requirements

Required skills

  • Six months to one year of general maintenance and safety experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Working knowledge of HVAC
  • Ability to provide own industry-specific hand tools
  • Physical ability to meet job requirements including lifting, moving, and climbing
