Job Description

Overview

Red Dirt Septic is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair aerobic and conventional septic systems for residential and commercial customers in the Oklahoma City Metro area. This role offers a stable career with training provided, the convenience of a company vehicle, and local work with no overnight travel required.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct bi-annual maintenance on aerobic systems, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs
  • Diagnose and fix septic systems, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
  • Keep company vehicle tools and supplies in top condition
  • Drive to residential and commercial sites using the provided company vehicle
  • Access wastewater tanks, which may involve hand digging or operating specialized equipment
  • Log detailed, accurate notes on work orders

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or septic system certification is a bonus
  • Physically capable of demanding tasks like lifting heavy equipment and working outdoors
  • Able to use and read a voltmeter for electrical diagnostics
  • Confident communicator, able to explain technical details to homeowners clearly
  • Available for occasional evening/weekend work and on-call shifts
