Job Description

Overview

Red Dirt Septic is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair aerobic and conventional septic systems for residential and commercial customers. This hands-on role is local to the Oklahoma City Metro area, allowing you to be home nightly, and includes necessary training for advancement.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct bi-annual maintenance on aerobic systems, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Diagnose and fix aerobic and conventional septic systems, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Keep company vehicle tools and supplies in top condition.
  • Drive to residential and commercial sites using the provided company vehicle.
  • Access wastewater tanks, which may involve hand digging or operating specialized equipment.
  • Log detailed, accurate notes on work orders.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or septic system certification is a bonus.
  • Physically capable of demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and digging.
  • Ability to use and read a voltmeter for electrical diagnostics.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical details to homeowners.
  • Available for occasional evening/weekend work and on-call shifts.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and provide a current driving record.
