Overview

AmeriGas is seeking a Service Technician in Hagerstown, Maryland, to join their team. This role is crucial for installing and repairing propane tanks for both residential and commercial customers while maintaining safety standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along designated service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for customers
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential clients
  • Conduct delivery of propane as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state safety regulations and company policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work shifts that may range from 8 to 12 hours based on needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
