Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at AmeriGas, you will be integral to the installation and repair of propane tanks for both residential and commercial customers, prioritizing safety and exceptional customer service. This role requires operating service vehicles and performing repairs while adhering to strict safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks
  • Install new propane tanks/systems
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to safety codes and AmeriGas policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work flexible 8 to 12-hour shifts

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical and drug test
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Customer service skills
  • Propane systems knowledge
  • Safety compliance adherence
