Overview

Atlas Machine And Supply is looking for a Service Technician in Louisville, Kentucky. This role focuses on the inspection, testing, adjustment, and repair of mechanical and electrical components in air compressors and pump systems, requiring strong diagnostic and customer communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Communicates with customers to understand system issues and provides follow-up recommendations.
  • Inspects equipment to identify problems using diagnostic methods.
  • Dismantles units to assess internal components.
  • Inspects, measures, and evaluates parts for wear and damage.
  • Repairs equipment by replacing defective parts and modifying components.
  • Measures, cuts, threads, and installs piping as needed.
  • Tests repaired equipment to verify proper operation.
  • Drives and maintains a service van.
  • Follows company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility in work schedule
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to become DOT certified
  • Above average computer skills including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to lift minimum of 70 lbs
  • Basic electrical knowledge
