Overview

AmeriGas is looking for a Service Technician to join its team in Gordonville, Pennsylvania. This role involves installing and repairing propane tanks for a diverse customer base while emphasizing safety and exceptional customer service. As part of the nation's largest propane distributor, you'll operate service vehicles, perform maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle along provided service routes
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Adhere to federal and state codes and regulations as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
