Overview

John C. Cassidy Air Conditioning & Plumbing is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician to join their team in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This role involves maintaining and repairing HVAC systems in both light commercial and residential environments, offering opportunities for career growth and development within a strong company culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect and perform maintenance on existing HVAC systems
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with team members to improve overall system performance
  • Create accurate records of all work performed
  • Provide excellent customer service and client experience

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Residential HVAC Technician
  • Universally certified in refrigerant handling
  • EPA Type II certification required
  • Knowledge of residential and light-commercial HVAC
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of property maintenance practices is a plus
