Overview

HANSONS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service & Measure Technician to join their team in Des Moines, Iowa. This full-time position involves residential home improvement measuring and service work, along with customer support and technology-driven field operations, specifically in areas like windows and roofing.

Key responsibilities

  • Verify and confirm measurements for residential home improvement products
  • Perform service and warranty-related work on residential homes
  • Clean gutters and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Recaulk windows and exterior penetrations
  • Replace window sashes and other window components
  • Diagnose and resolve minor service issues
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding service visits and solutions
  • Document measurements, service notes, photos, and completed work accurately
  • Utilize company-issued iPads and mobile applications for managing work assignments
  • Navigate CRM systems to update job statuses and communicate outcomes
  • Leverage technology and AI-powered tools to improve efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in installing/servicing residential windows and roofing systems
  • Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve service-related issues independently
  • Comfortable using technology including iPads, mobile applications, CRM systems, and AI-powered tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift and maneuver materials and equipment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
