Job Description

Overview

The Service Manager at BH will be responsible for coordinating maintenance work for buildings and facilities, ensuring all service needs of internal and external customers are met. This role includes preparing work schedules, assigning tasks, overseeing work quality, and monitoring the maintenance budget, all while maintaining safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance employee schedules and communicate assignments to maintenance staff.
  • Assess training needs and coordinate appropriate training for maintenance employees.
  • Conduct daily property and grounds inspections for maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Ensure all repairs and replacements meet company standards.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and ensure follow-up on results.
  • Comply with OSHA and local safety regulations.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
  • Implement and document preventive maintenance programs.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the maintenance team.

Required skills

  • Four years of progressive maintenance and safety experience
  • Advanced computer skills and industry-specific technology
  • Ability to perform manual, task-oriented work independently
  • High School diploma (preferred)
  • EPA Core certification
  • Type I-Appliances and Type II-HVAC certifications
  • Certified Pool Operator certification
  • Provide own industry-specific hand tools
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform various movements
