Job Description

Overview

The Service Electrician role at Western Pacific Enterprises involves working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment where problem-solving and customer relationship building are essential. Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems efficiently and safely
  • Install and maintain electrical systems including fire alarm and HVAC systems
  • Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours callouts
  • Perform site visits and assess client needs
  • Prepare small estimates and quotes
  • Manage and complete work orders accurately and on time
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams
  • Actively pursue and develop new service opportunities and client relationships
  • Lead small projects and oversee small crews when required
  • Mentor and train apprentices
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and electrical code requirements

Required skills

  • Certified Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Journeyperson
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Service Electrician role
  • Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record
  • FSR certification is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
  • Professional, client-focused attitude
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Willingness to travel and work out of town when required
