Job Description

Overview

The Service and Support Specialist for Allen County will lead and manage the operations of programming and services for individuals with developmental disabilities at Champaign Residential Services, Inc. This role involves coordinating relationships with various stakeholders and ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise service coordination and operations for individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Establish and monitor relationships with consumers, parents, staff, and community members
  • Coordinate daily operations and support services and all consumer-related programs
  • Advocate for consumers, ensuring their safety and proper reporting of any incidents
  • Assist staff with service delivery, documentation, and application of standards
  • Provide supervision and scheduling for Support Managers and Support Specialists
  • Assist with hiring, training, and development of professional staff
  • Monitor budgetary practices and consumer finances
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of community-based agencies
  • Strong communication, writing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership abilities
