Job Description

Overview

The Service and Support Specialist at CRSI is responsible for supervising and coordinating services for individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) in Allen County. This role involves establishing relationships with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advocating for the consumers' well-being and rights.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations of support services and consumer programs
  • Serve as a liaison between agency, county boards, and DODD
  • Advocate for consumers and ensure reporting of suspected abuse or neglect
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and development of staff
  • Monitor budgetary practices and consumer finances
  • Provide supervision and on-call support after business hours
  • Perform hands-on programming and service delivery as needed

Required skills

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
  • 2-4 years' experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of community-based agencies
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership abilities and ability to handle confidential information
