Overview

SSP Canada is seeking a Server for Spinnakers at Victoria Airport located in North Saanich, British Columbia. This role involves delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment while adhering to health standards and alcohol regulations. The position requires interacting with guests, taking orders, and ensuring proper stock management of bar items.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner
  • Input orders into the register and create checks for each guest
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, and verify validity of charges
  • Maintain proper setup of the bar at all times
  • Ensure the quality of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes and other perishables
  • Adhere to all liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages
  • Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned

Required skills

  • Minimum one year serving experience
  • Serving it Right certificate
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests
  • Basic mathematical skills for cash handling
