Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Senior/Staff HBM PYE Product Development Failure Analysis Engineer to join their Product Development Failure Analysis team in Boise, Idaho. This role focuses on ensuring product reliability and conducting failure analysis for next-generation HBM products, leveraging electrical and physical characterization techniques along with AI tools and statistical analysis to enhance component performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and statistical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms
  • Identify causes of component failures through data analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve fabrication and assembly process defects
  • Use AI and statistical tools for detailed data analysis to improve components

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical and statistical failure analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical and physical characterization techniques
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science
  • Proficiency in statistical tools for data analysis
  • Experience with AI tools for component failure analysis
  • Strong communication skills in a cross-functional team environment
  • Advanced coursework in VLSI, device physics, and semiconductor processes preferred
