Overview

Micron is seeking a Senior/Staff HBM PYE Product Development Failure Analysis Engineer to join their Product Development Failure Analysis team. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of next-generation HBM devices as they transition from design to mass production, utilizing electrical characterization, statistical analysis, and AI tools to identify and resolve product issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and statistical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms
  • Identify causes of component failures through data analysis
  • Collaborate with partner engineering teams to resolve fabrication and assembly process defect related issues
  • Use AI and statistical tools for detailed data analysis to improve component performance

Required skills

  • 3 years of experience in electrical and statistical failure analysis
  • 3 years of experience in electrical and physical characterization techniques
  • Proficiency in applying statistical tools for analyzing data
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science
  • Experience with AI tools for component failure analysis
  • Strong communication skills in a cross-functional team environment
