The Senior Wind Hub Technician is a critical and active role to maintain optimal function and output at the wind site by working daily on turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repair(s). The Senior Wind Hub Technician partners and communicates with the Site Lead and Manager to execute on contract requirements and timelines and ensures alignment with GE Vernova excellence! Essential Responsibilities As the Senior Wind Hub Technician, you will:Work with site/hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and activities set forth daily, which include any portion of the electrical and mechanical equipment used in the GE wind turbine generator.Apply extensive understanding of variable pitch & speed turbines and converter parts.Read, understand, and explain schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety processes and regulations and all applicable compliance requirements.Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision, observing all safety requirements.Effectively perform diagnostic analysis and generate plan for timely resolution.Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures andWork with and respond to GE Vernova's remote operations center when necessary.Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager, and mentor peers. Qualifications/Requirements High School Diploma or GEDBasic computer skillsAbility to pass Technical Knowledge Assessment4+ years of wind trouble-shooting experience and 1+ year EHS, SQC, Lead role, or5+ years of wind trouble-shooting experience Requirements Must have and maintain a valid driver's licenseWillingness to travel up to 100% of the timeHandle repetitive weight - 50 lbs. and climb towers up to 300 feet dailyMeet specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300lbs including required gearAbility and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilitiesEffectively prioritize work according to contract obligationsAbility and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervision, andFlexibility to work rotating shift schedules, and on-call per site needs.Occasional overnights may be required per hub needs. Desired CharacteristicsAssociate or bachelor's degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field from an accredited college or universityTechnical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical / Electronic fieldAbility to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside of the Wind FarmWind turbine experienceAbility and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervisionElectrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experienceExperience using hydraulic power toolsExperience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance with a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirementsPlease note: This is not a remote position.
