Job Description

Overview

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Verification Engineer to be part of its Engineering Group focused on ASIC design and verification for low power AI subsystems and audio applications. The role will involve contributing to verification tasks, automating processes, and leading debug activities to shape innovative and efficient designs.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to core verification during the pre/post silicon phase of ASICs through simulation
  • Drive test plan development, execution, and verification closure
  • Create and maintain test benches, assertions, and functional coverage models
  • Implement flows to automate development processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead complex debug activities throughout the development cycle
  • Provide technical supervision to other engineers and lead by example
  • Work closely with design to define verification methodology and develop test plans

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, implementation, or related work experience
  • Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL RTL design languages
  • Solid understanding of ASIC/VLSI concepts
  • Experience with SystemVerilog test bench (UVM) and/or SystemC
  • Knowledge of hardware description languages (HDL): Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
  • Good working experience with C or C++
  • Strong knowledge of digital circuits and event-driven simulators
  • Knowledge of Perl, tcsh, Python, and GNU Make is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with automotive safety concepts and standards such as ISO26262
