Overview

The Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer at Rocket Lab will be responsible for the integration, testing, and launch of the Neutron launch vehicle. The role involves collaborating closely with a team to develop processes, design ground support tooling, and execute procedures for integrating flight hardware and ground equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop con-ops and design ground support tooling for Neutron Launch Vehicle.
  • Execute procedures for integrating flight hardware and ground support equipment.
  • Support day-to-day execution of vehicle integration and systems testing.
  • Develop vehicle maintenance architecture for efficiency.
  • Conduct vehicle system level checkouts for launch and components.
  • Document work procedures and non-conformances.
  • Maintain planning documents inclusive of Launch Vehicle configurations.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-departments effectively.
  • Manage multiple priorities while focusing on project goals.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware building and testing for launch vehicles.
  • Proficiency in authoring work instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
  • Experience with launch vehicle hardware and subsystems.
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles.
