You'll hold final approval authority on deals, set and enforce the credit box, and build out the underwriting function as volume grows. This role requires direct merchant cash advance underwriting experience - not adjacent lending.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn final approval, decline, and pricing decisions on MCA submissions, including exception calls outside the standard credit box.Define and maintain underwriting policy, approval limits, and risk tolerances; adjust based on portfolio performance and default trends.Build and lead the underwriting team - hiring, training, file review, and quality control on junior underwriters' recommendations.Direct the in-house AI/ML underwriting tools: set the rules and thresholds they run on, and work with Product on what gets automated.Requirements5+ years underwriting merchant cash advances or similar revenue-based business financing, with a track record of holding decision authority.Deep command of bank statement analysis, cash flow modeling, stacking detection, and MCA-specific fraud and default patterns.Experience setting or materially shaping a credit box and defending those decisions to ownership.Comfortable operating without a large support function - this is a hands-on role in a growing company, not a large-bank seat.Nice to HaveExperience managing or building an underwriting team from a small base.Familiarity with Ocrolus, DataMerch, TLOxp, Plaid, DecisionLogic, or comparable decisioning tools.Portfolio management or collections exposure - understanding how your decisions perform downstream.Experience working alongside automated or ML-assisted decisioning.Why Join Neto Capital?Full ownership of credit decisions - you set the box, not inherit someone else's.Build the underwriting function and team from the ground up.Direct access to the CEO and COO on risk strategy and portfolio direction.In-house AI/ML underwriting tools you'll help shape.
