Overview

The Senior Technical Product Manager at Amazon Data Services, Inc. is responsible for driving the development of innovative low voltage electrical products and distribution infrastructure technologies for AWS data centers. This role involves engaging with various teams to enhance product design and implementation while ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Product manage and own the roadmap for low voltage distribution products
  • Engage with internal and external customers to gather insights on electrical needs
  • Identify product requirements and create a product vision for data center electrical infrastructure
  • Coordinate between teams to develop business cases that define product prioritization and resource requirements
  • Drive improvements in data center electrical designs and communicate direction to Senior Management
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle from conception to deployment and eventual deprecation
  • Develop strategies to enhance profitability and application penetration
  • Work independently in high-pressure environments and exercise sound judgment

Required skills

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with engineering discussions on technology and strategy
  • Experience writing business requirements for new products and product roadmaps
  • Experience advocating for stakeholders during executive-level planning
  • Preferred: 7+ years in product leadership for large strategic initiatives
  • Preferred: 5+ years experience with electrical equipment types such as Low Voltage Switchgear, Power Distribution Units,
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or MBA
