Overview

The Senior Technical Product Manager at Amazon Data Services will lead the design and implementation of innovative electrical products for AWS data centers. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams, managing the entire product lifecycle, and ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency in electrical distribution technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the roadmap for low voltage distribution products for Amazon datacenters
  • Engage with internal and external customers to capture critical electrical and power needs
  • Develop product requirements and create a product vision based on customer insights
  • Coordinate multiple teams to justify business value and outline budget for product implementation
  • Drive continuous improvements in data center electrical designs and communicate technical direction to senior management
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle from conception to implementation and eventual deprecation
  • Develop strategies to enhance product profitability and market penetration
  • Work independently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining organization

Required skills

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • Experience in engineering discussions regarding technology and product strategy
  • Ability to write business requirements and product development proposals
  • Familiarity with Low Voltage electrical equipment like Switchgear, Power Distribution Cabinets, and Remote Power Panels
  • 7+ years in product or program leadership for large-scale initiatives (preferred)
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or MBA (preferred)
