As a Senior Tax Manager at Mariner Finance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies for clients, working closely with wealth management teams. This role emphasizes client relationship management and team leadership, requiring a proactive approach to mentoring and developing future tax professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and leadership to the tax team
  • Build and nurture client relationships and facilitate client retention
  • Collaborate to create and present strategic tax planning solutions
  • Manage various consulting and tax projects, including charitable giving and financial planning
  • Review tax returns, income tax projections, and related financial documents
  • Commit to continuing education and team development

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of tax experience in private or public accounting
  • CPA or EA certification
  • Client-centric tax consulting expertise for high-net-worth clients and entities
  • Strong research skills for complex tax issues and regulations
  • Mastery of tax compliance software (CCH or GOSystem preferred)
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
