Overview

The Senior Tax Manager at Welsh & Associates, Inc. will play a crucial role in providing high-quality tax compliance and consulting services for closely held businesses. This position involves strong client service, leadership, and practical problem-solving skills, focusing on team mentorship and developing effective tax processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end tax client engagements
  • Review complex returns and workpapers
  • Coach, develop, and mentor staff and managers
  • Drive consistency and harmonization of tax processes
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and nonprofit leaders
  • Partner with Assurance and other service-line leaders for coordinated client service

Required skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 7+ years of progressive tax accounting experience
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent
  • Strong client service and relationship building
  • Team leadership and staff development skills
  • Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
