Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development and testing of the LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars. This role involves working across the full product lifecycle, requiring collaboration and troubleshooting to enhance mission-critical defense systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
  • Lead the development and implementation of test plans, procedures, and verification documentation.
  • Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through data analysis.
  • Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
  • Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems and evaluate functionality.
  • Develop integration documentation and communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct statistical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
  • Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations.

Required skills

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with systems software, hardware, requirements, integration, and testing
  • Experience developing scripts and functions with MATLAB
  • Familiarity with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools
  • Experience with model-based engineering
  • Experience in developing and managing requirements
  • Experience in C++, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Technical documentation skills including test plans and procedures
  • Experience in integration labs, test facilities, or field support
  • Experience with evaluating systems in simulated environments
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers
